About Who built this and why

Built by one person. For Pakistani taxpayers, in plain language.

TaxWizard.pk is a small, independent project: a free, FBR-compliant calculator and a regularly updated journal, built to help working Pakistanis read their salary slip with confidence.

Background & Founder

Who built taxwizard.pk and why?

TaxWizard.pk was built by Ahmed, a software developer from Pakistan, to provide a free, accurate, and FBR-compliant income tax calculator for working citizens after seeing friends and family struggle with complex FBR slab tables and withholding deductions.

Hi, I'm Ahmed, a software developer from Pakistan. I built TaxWizard because every year I'd watch friends and family wrestle with the FBR's slab tables, lose track of withholding deductions, or get a surprise bill in September, and none of the existing tools were any help.

The goal is dead simple: accurate numbers, in the format Pakistani payslips actually use ("Rs 1,78,667", not "PKR 178,667"), explained in language that doesn't presume a chartered accountant on call.

Disclaimer

A note on limits.

Educational purpose. The calculator is for estimation. The numbers reflect standard slab application, so they don't substitute for filing or professional review.

Individual circumstances vary. Allowable deductions, exemptions, multiple income sources, mid-year changes can all shift your real number.

Get professional advice for complex cases. Investment income, capital gains, business structures, and international income all need a qualified chartered accountant.

No liability. Decisions made on the basis of this calculator are yours alone. See the full disclaimer for the formal language.
